About Faith Love Journey

Faith Love Journey was founded by Misty Buck in 2013. What started out as a personal blog that explored Misty’s personal spiritual journey has evolved into a community for fireball spirits with rebel hearts. Members of this community are spiritually guided, motivated to reach goals, tend to follow their intuition, have a rebellious nature, have a continuous thirst for knowledge, and greatly value their time.

A note from Misty

Welcome to Faith Love Journey! As you will find out in my blogs, I believe I was born to write. In fact, all I’ve ever wanted to do was write and teach. My parents nicknamed me “Mrs. Crabtree” because of how I subjected my stuffed animals to daily classes in my bedroom. I even had my own chalkboard, pointer stick and created lesson plans. Watch out, now. 🙂 I’ll spare you from the stories about how I orchestrated theatrical masterpieces in which my younger brother and cousins were the actors while I directed their lazy asses behind the scenes. Given my chosen playtime activities, you probably think I went on to be a bossy teacher, but it didn’t quite happen that way.

I also spent hours writing away in my journal. I would write songs, poetry, and vent about the means girls. Writing was and always has been my first love. How did I know this was my passion aka my purpose? I couldn’t even pretend to tell you about that magic moment of a pivotal life altering nature when I learned I wanted to write. Writing just was and it still is.

I ended up choosing a career in marketing because I succumbed to the echoes of “there’s no money” in writing and teaching from the adults who knew better. I figured I could write and be creative (and teach) with a career in marketing. I can’t knock it though. I started my first business in January 2008 offering public relations and social media marketing services.  I’ve done a-ok for myself, and I still enjoy that type of work, but I came to realize that a piece was missing. That piece was me.

You see, I have this incredibly rebellious, “you’re not the boss of me attitude” that won’t allow for me to settle. I wanted to be the good kid and be practical, yet there was this free spirited wild child inside of me that I suppressed. Even with my success, I was, to put it simply, sad. I missed writing for myself and subsequently became disconnected from myself. If you’ve ever been there, you know what I mean. How do you climb out of that?

My first step was to start this blog. I told like two or three people about it in the beginning and then I began finding more courage to let it go public. In about a year’s time I had hundreds of Facebook fans, thousands of website hits, and got certified as a spiritual life coach.  I still have a long way to go until I’m a best-selling published author having tea on Sunday with Oprah, but as my mom would say, “the day’s not over yet.”

I have so much to learn and so much to share. What I can tell you is that the gold is in the journey. I’d be honored to be your mentor on your journey whether that’s through my blogs, eCourses, workshops or one-on-one coaching sessions. Namaste.
