5 Elements of Healing

Healing is love, owning your feelings, expression, being open and forgiveness.

You must love the universe for your experiences.

Love the gifts that you have. Love yourself for all of your geniuses, all of your faults and all of the unknowns. Love the lessons that you’re learning and respectfully love all of those who you meet. Live your life through eyes that see love in every place they look, even when they are closed. Ask yourself, is this a loving thought, action, or habit? Healing begins when you allow love to consume every single area of your life.

Own your feelings.

Feel your feelings. Are they recurring? Maybe there’s something more to that; maybe something deeper you need to heal in order to build your foundation. Emotions can range from elation to hopelessness. Check in with yourself about why you feel a certain way, especially when it’s extreme. To love yourself, you have to love every part of yourself, understand yourself and be accepting of yourself. To heal, you have to be willing to see what needs to be rehabilitated so that you can grow. Souls go through human lifetimes because it’s the fastest way to learn; we get to feel and have relationships. It’s an enormous gift. Sit with your feelings long enough to understand them. When you can recognize them and appreciate them, healing will continue.

When you’re ready to let those feelings go, you must express your hurt.

Let it out. Release it into the things that bring you peace. Express it through that piece of yourself that feels like home. Release it in arts, music, writing, or painting. Release it in nature, boating, diving, skiing, hiking, running, or flying. Express it with love in your heart. Release it and then thank the outlet for supporting you in your healing.

Open up to new experiences, new beginnings, and new habits.

This calls for opening your heart and your mind. Imagine who you have to be in order to be healed. What does that healed version of you look like? What do you have to do to become that best version of yourself? You may want to also explore new and different ways to feel love so long as they are healthy. Take up a new hobby, sign up for classes, volunteer, or explore energy and sound healing. Whatever you are being drawn to, allow it to help you heal.

If love is the bread of the sandwich of healing, then forgiveness is all the hearty stuff that goes in the middle.

In other words, forgiveness is surrounded by all of the elements of love. Forgive because you love yourself more than the person or experience that harmed you. When you carry hate, anger, and resentment in your heart, you walk with a heavy burden in every step and breathe in weighty air. Oh, but when you forgive… When you forgive your heart is once again yours and your life becomes yours. It is no longer attached to an ailment. It is free. Could there be a more glorious way to live? Allow yourself to be at peace. You deserve it.
